Here's what we'll cover during the workshop:

Punctuation

Confused about commas, colons, and semi-colons? The Grammar Workshop is for you. Need help with hyphens, dashes, and ellipses? We've got you covered!

You'll also learn how to properly punctuate titles and finally get a handle on parentheses and quotation marks.

Subject/Verb Agreement

During the workshop, we'll cover the basics of subject/verb agreement and including what do with either/or and neither/nor and those tricky collective nouns.

Commonly Misused Words & More

Of course, we'll cover commonly misused words such as lie/lay, it's/its, and many more.

And if you're having trouble with misplaced modifiers, we'll get you back on track.

Do writers really need to follow grammar rules?

Good question. Of course, conversational writing sometimes calls for you to shirk the rules. But you have to know the rules in order to break them! So, let's learn!

Who's behind this webinar?

Hi! I'm Javacia Harris Bowser and I'm the founder of See Jane Write, a website and community for women who write and blog. Today, I'm a full-time freelance writer but for 10 years I was an English teacher!

For The Grammar Workshop, I'm going to step back into Mrs. Bowser mode, put back on my teaching hat, and give you a refresher of all those grammar lessons you haven't thought about since middle school.

My hope is that this workshop will give you the confidence you need to keep writing and to share your writing with the world.

Let's do this!
